Knox Art Gallery
Last week we all went to the Albright Knox Art Gallery. As usual, it was very rewarding! The Albright Knox Art Gallery has been around for a long time and it is well known and world known. As we wind down for the semester, this has been a good class. This class taught me to appretiate a lot of different genreas of art. There are so many definitinons to what art really is. I have come to the conclusion art is whatever you want it to be! Every persons interpretation of art is different. There are many forms of art. Forms of art
means the type of artwork such as drawing, painting, sculpture (carving,
modelling, assemblage and construction) architecture, printmaking, electronic
media such as computer and digital graphics, ceramics, Visual Design, Graphic
Design, collage, photography and Post Modern appropriation and
recontextualisation. I also know there is a language for the Arts. There is also visual arts, that is usually more modern. There is also objects and still art. There are people, and portoraits, and other things. Places and spaces are more art to talk about. There are events in art, issues, and themes. There is Media and teqnique to consider when you are talking art. There is scuplture, design, style, process, practice, function, abstract art, conceptual, representational, realistic, and naturalistic art. All of which are part of our ever growing art world. We should appretiate all types of art!
